The Superyogi Scenario by Jeffach
The Superyogi Scenario
A series of character images I did for the new book "The Superyogi Scenario." The novel is a fresh new take on the superhero story that packs a philosophical punch. Instead of getting supernatural powers from radiation or spider bites, powers are developed through yoga and meditation.

Drawing from authentic verses in The Yoga Sutra, this thought-provoking thriller envisions yogic supernatural abilities rising among the world s growing population of yoga practitioners and wild consequences when heroes and villains emerge.

Red Sonja Animated
An animated version of Red Sonja in the style of old Filmation cartoons and movies like HeavyMetal and Fire and Ice. I don't have any experience in animation so I basically just had to make it up as I went along. The animation is a bit wonky in areas but I suppose that fits the retro look.

The entire thing was done in Photoshop. I rotoscoped a clip of a woman swinging a baseball bat to get a more fluid realistic look. www.shutterstock.com/video/cli… Rotoscoping is a old animation technique where the animator traces over frames of live action.

I have a new found respect for the people who did hand drawn animation. After many many hours of work and 24 different hand drawn frames, not including the background images or foreground blood, I only have about a 2 second clip.

Athena v2: ATHENA, THE GODDESS OF WAR by Jeffach
Athena v2: ATHENA, THE GODDESS OF WAR
Character poster I did for Maiden Comic Studio's film "Athena, Goddess of War." Had a lot of fun making these, I was given plenty of creative freedom with the costumes.

This is the second version of the "Athena" poster. I made this poster several months after the original 4. The character's costume had changed significantly enough that it no longer resembled the costume in the original poster. But it gave me a chance to fix several things that were bothering me about the original set. Overall I just think this poster is more visually appealing than the first four. It kinda surprises me with the artistic choices that I made several months ago that I would no longer malke now.

Interests
Just want to let everyone know that I can't accept anymore commissions at this time. I took on a lot of jobs at once, several of which took longer than expected. Seems I over estimated how quickly I could get through the list and I apologize for that. And of course the Holidays didn't help any.

I haven't been on DA very often over the past several weeks and haven't uploaded much lately since I have less time for personal work. Most of the commissions I've been working on cant be uploaded right now for various reasons.

I'll update this entry when I'm freed up for anyone who is interested in a commission. Or just delete it all together.

I would just start by looking up some tutorials to get the basics of the programs down, theres a ton out there. Then just spend a lot of time experimenting and messing around. I learned the basics of Photoshop in school, but most of what I know I learned by messing around with it for hours and hours on my own. Good luck.
