Nice work going all the way back to the Mirage comics, even going so far for all of the turtles to have red masks and just look badass.

Absolutely incredible work.
I really love that you took the Mirage comics as the main inspiration for your Turtles, as well as made an effort to actually make them look reptilian (the scales must have taken forever).

I gotta say, I also really do like the little personalized touches you've given them, like Mikey's spots on his shell, the scars on Raph's face, as well as each one having a slightly different skin colour.

Great work.

Thanks, yes those scales were a nightmare to make them look right. But I figured they really dont need the colored bands they could stick with all red as long as they looked different enough it would be easy to tell them apart.

I agree. I mean, the coloured headbands do make them easier to distinguish, and in some ways suit their personalities quite well (Raphael is the angry one, so he stays red, Leonardo the calmest and most confident, so he's blue etc.), but they should still be distinct even without them.

Honestly, even though I probably already know the answer is most likely to be "yes"... I do wonder if they'll stick to the multi-coloured bands in the upcoming film reboot.

True. I mean, until Turtles Forever... and in some cases, even after then, not everyone knew that the TMNT were comic-book characters, and thought the 80s cartoon was were they started.

Still, I'm hoping they at least use the Mirage comics as a source of inspiration.

Turtles Forever was great, I loved how they made fun of how ridiculous the old cartoon was

Some of the jokes were indeed hilarious, especially Hun becoming angry with the 1987 Raphael's constant fourth-wall breaking ("Why do you keep doing that?! Who are you talking to?! THERE'S NO-ONE THERE!!")

And seeing the original Mirage Turtles in animated form was great. The movie was worth it just for that.

There was a 3-part story done in the original run where the artwork was done in a hyper-realistic way. the turtles looked like giant snapping turtles with the scary looking beaks and everything. personally I'd loved to have seen something like that in Turtles Forever . sorry for butting in on your conversation
